Cleaning fees are not a standard charge on Storefront — they depend entirely on the individual listing owner's policy for their space. Some spaces include cleaning in the rental price, while others charge separately or require renters to leave the space in a clean condition.
How to confirm the cleaning policy:
Read the listing description carefully — many owners outline their cleaning requirements or fees in the space details.
Ask the listing owner directly via Storefront's messaging system before booking if the description does not mention cleaning.
Common arrangements:
Cleaning included — the owner handles cleaning between bookings and it is factored into the rental price.
Cleaning fee added — an additional fee is charged on top of the base rental price to cover professional cleaning after your event.
Renter responsibility — you are expected to clean up after your event and restore the space to its original condition. Failure to do so may result in deductions from a security deposit.
We recommend clarifying cleaning expectations with the listing owner before confirming your booking to avoid surprises. All cleaning fee agreements should be confirmed in writing through Storefront's messaging system.
