Storefront is committed to accommodating our renter and listing owner community as much as possible in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. We will handle cancellation requests globally due to COVID-19 in the following manner:
Countries or Regions with CDC Risk Assessment Levels of 2 or 3 Alert for COVID-19
Should either party wish to cancel an event planned to start before April 30, 2020 in a country or region designated for a Level 2 or 3 CDC Alert, such cancellation will be considered as a “Mutual Cancellation” under the Cancellation Policy with a full refund issued to the guest by the listing owner, and a full refund issued to the guest of the Storefront service fee by Storefront.
Countries, Regions, or States with Declared 'State of Emergency' for COVID-19
Should a renter wish to cancel an event planned to start before April 30, 2020 in a country, region, or state with an officially declared ‘State of Emergency,’ Storefront will offer a rescheduling (waiving all cancellation fees) for any date within six months of the original booking start time, pending listing owner’s confirmation of the new date.
If both parties agree to a mutual cancellation, then all funds, including Storefront's service fee, will be refunded to the renters.
We encourage hosts who receive updates and/or cancellation requests from guests due to COVID-19 outside of Level 2 & 3 CDC affected areas to be as accommodating as possible. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and have attached some informational links below. Additionally, please be aware that due to the evolving nature of this issue, our policy regarding cancellations is subject to change. Please email us at hello@thestorefront.com if you have any questions.
